ML Brightens Christmas

ML Xmas tree

Standing proud at a height of 115 feet, the M. Lhuillier sponsored Christmas tree transfixed amidst a busy Fuente Rotunda is a proud symbol of Cebu's love for celebration and respect for family and tradition. This year's Christmas tree was indeed one of a kind. Its unique native theme display showcases designs that are very familiar to us and taht is distinctly ours. Most of the materials used for the design are made of kogon, bamboo, native bells, amakan, nigo and even silhig. The tree's five layers are adorned with salakot, native fans and parols made of ginit. and on its base sits two nipa huts; one portraying the Nativitiy scene and the other showing a typical Pinoy family. At the peak of the tree rests the image of Senor Sto. Nino standing on the top of the globe.
