Makati Day 2010

makati day 2010

The mood was very festive along Ayala Ave during that pleasant day of June 11, 2010.  There were at least three reasons to celebrate:  The Makati City’s 340th Foundation Day, the victory of the incumbent mayor’s son in the city’s mayoralty race, and the incumbent mayor’s edging out of his closest rival in the nation’s vice-presidential race.  Victory and joy was really in the air as participating businesses paraded their well-adorned float with this year’s theme, Kasiyahan, Kaginhawaan, at Kaunlaran.

Being last year’s grand prize winner for the float competition,  M.Lhuillier Financial Services, Inc. (MLFSI) once again bedazzled the crowd with an award-winning float design that encapsulated the thrust of MLFSI in promoting our services locally and overseas as well.  Our float was made of indigenous materials and was branded conspicuously with the company’s services and products.  Giving color contrast to our well-designed float was the display of different international costumes worn by models on top of the float.  Being known for handing-out give-aways to the crowd during this time of the year, MLFSI stood true to this lingering good conception as on-lookers were able to get branded corporate give-aways which they brought back either to their Makati work place or their respective homes in the nearby cities -  a very good way of recalling the brand M.Lhuillier.

EVP Charles Lhuillier and GM Lorenzo T. Escano were watching the floats, streetdancers and other contingents pass by the main grandstand constructed in front of the Makati Stock Exchange.  They viewed the festivities alongside Makati’s business executives, VIPs and the new Mayor JunJun Biinay and Vice President Jejomar Binay.

This year’s celebration marked another milestone not only for Makati City but for M.Lhuillier as well, as we again instilled in the minds of the people that we are there for their immediate financial needs.  With M.Lhuillier, truly - good things happen!
